The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.
Acting as a Business Intelligence (BI) technology subject matter expert, supporting requirements gathering for both small and major change initiatives. Providing ongoing Business As Usual (BAU) support, diagnosing and resolving user-reported issues and inquiries promptly, correctly, and professionally across EMEA, Americas, and Asia & Tokyo; Performing problem-solving to resolve BAU issues; and Fostering a dynamic, delivery-driven culture responsive to business demands. Developing, testing, implementing financial software, database changes, GUIs, reports, and dashboards, particularly for P&L calculation in the broker-dealer domain; Coding in SQL, MDX (including writing complex SSAS queries), PowerShell, Control-M, and C#; Developing dashboards using Power BI; and Providing technical leadership for a team of support technologists (including contractors and offshore staff) responsible for Business As Usual (BAU) support and change development. Managing the support, enhancement, maintenance, and stability of data warehousing and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms supporting daily reporting across supported entities; Ensuring platform architecture safeguards 24/6 business continuity; Validating target architecture proposals; and Participating in annual Disaster Recovery and Fire-drill scenarios for affected systems as required. Ensuring systems meet agreed service standards, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); Recording and tracking reporting SLAs; and Ensuring adherence to Technology, Security, Data Confidentiality, and other relevant internal/external policies (including MUFG group policies). Supporting the delivery of business-sponsored project programs and change initiatives; Prioritizing user enhancement requests; Managing and understanding project scope; Liaising effectively with project team members at all levels (Program/Project Managers, Business Users, Senior Management, Technology Teams, Analysts, Developers, Testers); Actively participating in project working groups; and Approving and supervising the transition of changes into the production environment. Building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with internal/external stakeholders, business users, project teams, other technology teams, and senior management; Working with other technology teams supporting the same user base to resolve issues; Partnering with relevant teams in providing reporting services; and Participating in MUFG group-wide activities to promote the Business Intelligence (BI) platform's use, understand industry best practices, influence change, and promote technical credibility. Maintaining and enhancing the BAU Confluence knowledge base pages. Serving as technical lead for the Application Support Team.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related (or foreign equivalent degree).
Experience: 3 years of experience in the broker-dealer domain within the financial services industry supporting multi-terabyte systems for credit risk, market risk, and P&L finance reporting; developing financial software, risk models, and P&L models utilizing T-SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), including writing MDX queries; coding in C#, Powershell, and using Control-M; performing P&L and risk measure calculations and reporting; developing dashboards using Power BI; performing SQL performance tuning (optimizing query execution plans, indexing strategies, and database design) using tools: SQL Server Profiler & Database Engine Tuning Advisor (DTA); with financial products (repos, SBL, bonds, treasuries, equities, secondary loan trading, and derivatives; and 2 years of experience as technical lead.
Other: Required to work nights & weekends as necessary for production releases, disaster recovery testing, and month-end closures.
Other: Position requires employment in-office 4 days per week and remotely 1 day per week.
Wage: $109,491 to $148,000 U.S. dollars per year
