Under general direction, this position is responsible for planning, managing, and executing all international and domestic shipment activities and functions. Leverages our established global 3rd Party logistics network to execute shipments (forward and reverse) and formulate and develop new and improved shipping processes, tools and analytics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Analyzes, validates and develops logistics and technical process requirements; develops logistics and shipping program requirements, techniques and controls; and leads implementation efforts of requirements specific to forward and reverse logistics operations.
+ Logistics and international shipping project management and solution development as required by internal and external customers and end users.
+ Scopes, schedules and qualifies international and domestic shipments in accordance with all domestic and international shipping regulations including FMS, ITAR, IATA and HazMat via all modes of transportation.
+ Participates in classifying shipments at the product level, completes proper shipment packing, labeling and validates all import/export shipment documentation. Completes load plans.
+ Partners regularly with multiple internal teams to achieve goals and work assignments including finance, purchasing, operations, manufacturing and the program office.
+ Performs analysis and process verification to ensure consistency, traceability, feasibility and completeness; recommends and implements process improvements.
+ Works closely with 3rd Party Logistics network; solicits transportation quotes, performs cost analysis and coordinates and facilitates quarterly business reviews.
+ Works with established 3rd Party Global Network: manages complex transportation (forward and reverse) moves throughout the world as required by internal and external Customers.
+ Monitors and audits 3rd Party logistics program expenditures, transactional cost, activity and service performance.
+ Develops, maintains and distributes key performance metrics as required by the leadership team.
+ Develops and distributes hard copy and electronic reports as required; utilizes analysis models, prototypes and scenarios.
+ Develops and implements required logistics practices and processes; and develops policies, procedures and tools.
+ May provide leadership and training to less experienced staff.
+ Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a related field and six or more years experience as a business process analyst working with computerized management systems to include, but not limited to, product life cycle systems. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
+ Must have a complete understanding of logistics and transportation business processes/life cycle management principles, theories and concepts and a general understanding of aeronautical industry practices, techniques, and standards.
Must be customer focused and possess:
+ The ability to develop, perform and maintain data analytics and develop solutions to a variety of complex logistics problems.
+ Extensive experience in International and Domestic Shipping, Receiving, Transportation, and Warehouse Management is highly preferred.
+ Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, managers, customers and other external parties.
+ The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
+ Strong Excel, SAP, Power Point, and Logistics and Transportation Management experience.
+ Ability to work independently or lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
