• Shipping Coordinator

    D&D Commodities (Stephen, MN)


    ### Job Duties

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Coordinate inbound and outbound freight operations, including scheduling appointments with trucking companies and avoiding overbookings.

     

    Enter orders into systems, manage logistical processes, and communicate pickup details with customers.

     

    Maintain continuous communication with supervisors on shipment status throughout the day.

     

    Check in drivers, verify shipment accuracy, and assign loading bay doors.

     

    Generate and manage required shipping documentation such as pick sheets and bills of lading.

     

    Monitor and map orders, address shortages, and create additional orders as necessary.

     

    Handle claims for lost or damaged products, ensuring timely resolution.

     

    Serve as a backup for other office personnel as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    High school diploma or equivalent required.

     

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP.

     

    Strong multitasking abilities, organizational skills, and keen attention to detail.

     

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels.

     

    Prior experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination is preferred.

     

    Dependable, punctual, and able to solve problems effectively.

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

    High school diploma or GED (required).

     

    1–2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or related field preferred.

     

    Working knowledge of freight coordination and transportation scheduling systems.

     

    Familiarity with standard shipping documentation and claim resolution processes.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Primarily office-based, with frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.

     

    Requires sitting for extended periods and communicating with drivers, customers, and team members.

    This position pays $19.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience.
