Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando. Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year
Job Summary:
Working with **Corporate Communication leadership** (Executive Director, External Communications and Executive Director, Internal Communication), the Coordinator supports in the development and execution of communications initiatives and operations for external and internal audiences in the Central Florida Division. The Coordinator applies introductory knowledge of media, public relations and communications to contribute to strategies that protect and enhance the reputation of AdventHealth; inform, engage and inspire team members and consumers; and support the Corporate Communications team in advancing overall organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated enthusiasm for coordinating an integrated communications department and manage day-to-day functions for the team, demonstrating independent judgment and creativity. This person will build strong relationships with stakeholders to advance the department's goals and vision. Additionally, they will be a hands-on, proactive, results-oriented communicator who is passionate about learning strategy, media tactics, and achieving successful outcomes.
You Will Be Responsible For:
+ Implements day-to-day communications efforts, including digital content creation, project management, media tracking, and monthly dashboards.
+ Manages the digital newsroom, coordinating copy, video, photos, design, and story placement.
+ Works collaboratively with Marketing, Creative, and Public Advocacy teams, providing clear objectives, goals, feedback, and reasonable deadlines.
+ Coordinates with team leadership to ensure the budget is met, invoices are reviewed and approved timely, and finance, supply, or IT-related issues are resolved.
+ Supports media activities, including interacting with media, staffing on-site events or interviews, facilitating requests, and creating content.
+ Develops internal communications vehicles by providing copy, managing Creative requests, and representing the Communications team in internal meetings.
+ Serves as a brand ambassador, upholding organizational values and maintaining brand consistency internally and externally.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What Will You Need:
Education and Experience Required:
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 1 Work Experience Preferred
+ Organizational and administrative skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Foundational knowledge and skills to implement integrated communications programs, to include: communications planning; creative concepting and execution; traditional and social media; project management, event planning and execution; and research analysis.
+ Strong writing, organization and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Strong collaborator; ability to build meaningful relationships among internal and external stakeholders.
+ Familiarity with budgeting process, invoicing and supply ordering systems; experience with working in project management programs (in submitting and managing Creative-related projects in particular).
+ Critical thinker with the ability to make educated recommendations for results.
+ Basic experience in emerging digital media and technologies and working knowledge and engagement in social media platforms.
