    RENK Systems Corporation, located in Camby, IN, is the US hub for Test Systems and other special machinery, domestically and abroad. RENK is the world leader in the design and manufacture of helicopter transmission test stands for development and end of line testing. In addition, RENK delivers world class test equipment to other industries including Aviation, Renewable Energy (Wind Turbine), Defense and Automotive.

    Job Description:

    The Sales Engineer is responsible for the sales of Test Bench Systems. The target candidate would be responsible for implementing the sales strategy to increase sales, margins, market share and brand awareness of RENK products. Furthermore, the target candidate would be expected to conduct regular and recurring visits to customers and end-users to identify their current needs and future investment projects. These visits are critical to influence customers in considering RENK products as the preferred solutions for their requirements.

    Essential Functions:

    + Serve as primary contact for customers, ensuring concerns are addressed, fostering a strong relationship and long-term partnership.

    + Identify new customers, via networking and participation in international trade fairs, congresses, symposia and relevant industry working groups.

    + Establish and maintain the sales pipeline for test bench systems in your sales region with a high level of personal responsibility and creative freedom.

    + Close cooperation with the global sales managers and product managers for the respective industry segments in our company headquarters.

    + Act as a bridge between customer and internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met and to resolve quality issues.

    + Support and coordination of the quotation process from project planning and contract negotiation, to order placement and handover to the project team.

    + Coordinate with internal experts and local suppliers for precise project planning.

    + Preparation of quotation calculations, considering technical, commercial and legal aspects.

    + Participation in the development of test bench concepts in close cooperation with product management, internal sales, development & design.

    Position Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or similar.

    + 6+ years of technical sales experience with demonstrated ability to manage and grow large OEM accounts and establish new business with target customers.

    + Candidates with relevant technical experience (4+ years) in testing and engineering could also be considered.

    + Ability to analyze customer needs, understand complex technical challenges, and propose effective solutions.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and build relationships.

    + Willingness to travel throughout North America and occasionally abroad (30-40%).

    + Understanding business principles, including the financial effects of choices and actions.

    + Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency with CRM and other sales tools.

    + Entrepreneurial thinking and acting with a high degree of independent creative freedom.

    + Ability to work in a team.

    + Preferred but not mandatory:

    + Sound knowledge in one or more of the following areas: system development, simulation, testing, controls.

    + German language skills.

    + Experience in the sale of capital goods (e.g. high CAPEX special equipment).

    + Knowledge of export control and handling of sensitive data (ITAR, EAR)

    + Familiarity with government contracts (FAR, DFARS)

    + Knowledge of aviation component testing
