             Description SAIC is seeking a highly skilled **Systems Engineer** to support our Department of War (DoW) contracts at **Crane NSWC, IN** . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes and in-depth knowledge of the ALE-47 Countermeasures Dispensing System. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver complex systems engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: SETR Process Execution: + Lead and manage SETR processes including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR, etc. + Develop and review technical documentation, including requirements specifications, design documents, test plans, and reports. + Ensure compliance with DoD and industry standards and best practices in systems engineering. ALE-47 Integration and Support: + Provide subject matter expertise for the ALE-47 system, including integration, testing, and troubleshooting. + Collaborate with hardware and software teams to enhance system performance and reliability. + Conduct system-level analyses and provide recommendations for improvements and upgrades. Technical Leadership: + Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and oversight. + Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. + Represent the company in technical meetings, working groups, and design reviews. Project Management Support: + Assist in the development of project schedules, milestones, and deliverables. + Support risk management activities and ensure timely resolution of technical issues. + Contribute to proposal development and provide technical inputs for new business opportunities. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: + Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience. + Minimum of [7] years of relevant experience in systems engineering, preferably within the defense sector. SETR Expertise: + Proven experience in leading and managing SETR processes. ALE-47 Knowledge: + In-depth understanding of the ALE-47 Countermeasures Dispensing System, including its operation, integration, and testing. Skills: + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Proficient in using systems engineering tools and software. + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Security Clearance: + Active DoD Secret clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred. Work Environment: + This position may require occasional travel to client sites and field test locations. + Ability to work on-site at NSWC Crane.
