The Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals is looking for their next Office & Administrative Specialist! This position performs skilled legal and general office support for Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals judges, legal staff, and administrative support staff. The role provides confidential general office assistance, receptionist duties, and updates the WCCA website as needed. Additional duties include assisting with the court’s docket function to ensure that all matters are scheduled appropriately as well as recording and updating case status information in the court’s case management system. This position will promote a positive image of the court and its staff to all internal and external customers.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to a variety of customers over the phone, in person and via email.
+ Word processing skills to develop and modify a variety of correspondence, records, and reports.
+ Knowledge of building and uploading original content, documents, and/or webpages to websites.
+ Knowledge of preparing, editing, and finalizing emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents and types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling error.
+ Knowledge of accounting principles and practices sufficient to analyze, interpret, and prepare financial information, records, and reports.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Two (2) years' experience in an administrative support role.
+ Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional in situations that may involve angry or upset callers, persons of differing communication styles and languages, cultural and/or socioeconomic backgrounds.
+ Knowledge and experience in Microsoft products, including Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
+ **Experience preparing written** documents and website content to adhere to the Minnesota Accessibility Policies and Standards.
