Introduction
A career in IBM Software means you’ll be part of a team that transforms our customer’s challenges into solutions.
Seeking new possibilities and always staying curious, we are a team dedicated to creating the world’s leading AI-powered, cloud-native software solutions for our customers. Our renowned legacy creates endless global opportunities for our IBMers, so the door is always open for those who want to grow their career.
IBM’s product and technology landscape includes Research, Software, and Infrastructure. Entering this domain positions you at the heart of IBM, where growth and innovation thrive.
Your role and responsibilities
Data is the engine of AI - especially the growing trove of unstructured data that fuels model training, fine‑tuning, and inference pipelines. It is critically important to secure this data in enterprises for AI especially given regulatory compliance mandates including privacy.
The Technical Architect will shape and own the end‑to‑end security and compliance framework for all structured and unstructured data used across the organization’s AI/ML pipelines. You’ll translate regulatory mandates into concrete technical controls, design robust data‑protection architectures, and guide cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, compliant AI solutions at scale.
As the technical architect for security and compliance across the data‑AI lifecycle, you will shape and own the end‑to‑end security and compliance framework for all structured and unstructured data. You will protect sensitive data and build in compliance support so our clients can run AI/ML workloads at scale with confidence.
You will:
* Define the data security and compliance vision and architecture
* Identify, prioritize, and roadmap the necessary technology components
* Lead detailed design and engineering of components
* Work with clients to implement use cases and pilot projects for early validation
* Build internal and external technical partnerships
Technical Focus Areas
