Job Description:

As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high profile healthcare customer. The Hospital Security Officer is responsible for the surveillance of the client’s healthcare premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. A Hospital Security Professional detects and prevents any suspicious activity, observe and reports incidents, and provides customer service in a friendly and professional manner.

+ Must have 1 year security experience within the last 3 years with an active guard card.

As an **Una** **rmed** **Security Officer** you will serve and safeguard clients in a Government Building.

R** **ESPONSIBILITIES** **/DUTIES** **:

+ Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, enforce site-specific policies, and ifappropriateemergency response.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter. Work environment and conditions may vary by client site.

+ Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Possess effective written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of client personnel and the general public in a professional manner.

+ Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology for personnel management and fulfilling security duties.

+ Possess the skills to handle crisis situations at client sites in a calm and efficient manner.

+ Ability to:

+ Work in various environments such as cold or hot weather, rain or snow

+ Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

+ Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

+ Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

MINIMUM REQUIREMETNS** **:

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ Possess a **current** Guard Card and any other licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations that may be required prior to employment.

+ As a condition of employment the candidate must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ Possess a valid driver’s license, requiredfor driving positions only.

+ Must have at least1 year of security experience within the past 3 years; or military and/or law enforcement experience.
