Summary This Lead Supply Technician position is for the Supply Chain Management service of the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System located in Aurora, CO. The Primary purpose of the position is to ensure supplies and materials are distributed to all areas serviced by the Supply Chain Management service. This position leads three or more technicians in the distribution of supplies and materials to wards, clinics, operating rooms, etc. Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities include: Ensures timely and proper distribution of supplies and materials. Maintains stock levels, returns reusable supplies to the distribution area. Works with clinical and administrative personnel regarding administrative and medical supplies. Works with customers and vendors to obtain information regarding clinical supplies. Resolves supply management issues. Distributes and balances workload among employees and assures completion of assigned work. Ensures timely and proper distribution of supplies and materials in assigned areas to include sterile and non-sterile medical supplies, instrument sets, and equipment. Performs daily inventory of primary and secondary inventory points using bar code equipment and following the predetermined schedule. Utilizes the automated point of use inventory system (Omnicell or similar), as well as the parent inventory system to monitor issues and receipts in support of stock replenishment processes. Coordinates work activities to resolve operating issues pertaining to clinical and administrative supply management requirements. Reviews completed work to see that instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines have been met. Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/23/2025. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
