Your Role at KIK
The Filling Line Lead is responsible for supervising the efficient and safe operation of a filling line, ensuring that products are accurately filled, sealed, and packaged according to quality standards. This role involves overseeing production staff, coordinating daily workflow, and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime. The Filling Line Lead ensures compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, maintains accurate production records, and works closely with other departments. The individual in this role must have filling operations and strong leadership skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
+ Operate various packaging machinery and ensure smooth production
+ Coordinate with supervisors to meet production schedules
+ Ensure product quality by conducting pre-line startup checks
+ Monitor and ensure adherence to break schedules for line personnel
+ Stage raw materials for packaging operations
+ Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance
+ Conduct equipment changeovers and startup/shutdown procedures
+ Perform quality checks and record equipment downtime
+ Clean and maintain equipment and work area
+ Participate in safety meetings and follow safety protocols
+ Address safety violations and maintain professional communication
+ Adhere to company policies and maintain tool inventory
What You’ll Bring
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ 2-3 years of experience as a Machine/Filler Operator in packaging
+ Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control preferred
+ Proficiency in verbal and written English communication
+ Basic mathematics skills required
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Capacity to stand for long periods
+ Capability to lift, twist, and carry up to 50 lbs.
+ Adaptability to work in various temperature environments
+ Willingness to wear protective equipment such as a full-face respirator
+ Compliance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations
