Our JP Morgan Strategic Indices franchise is a market-leading team providing exposure to a wide range of JPMorgan clients through sophisticated trading strategies. Our team plays a key role in the lifecycle of commodity systematic trading strategies, focused on quantitative analysis and market research.
Job Summary
As an Associate or Vice President in the Strategic Indices Structuring Team, you will assist in the development and analysis of commodity strategies, working closely with our experienced team members. This will include supporting research and development of new strategies in commodities, assisting in the origination and marketing efforts (in partnership with Sales), and contributing to the delivery of strategies (in partnership with Trading, Quantitative Research, Legal, and Compliance teams).
Job Responsibilities
+ Assist in the design and analysis of commodity trading strategies and propose innovative solutions for clients.
+ Apply your quantitative skills to support the development and pricing of complex derivatives.
+ Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on innovative solutions developed by the group.
+ Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders such as Structuring, Trading, Technology, Legal, and Compliance.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Strong interest and foundational knowledge in derivatives and quantitative finance.
+ Strong quantitative and communication skills.
+ Experience with data analysis (use of Python or similar tools).
+ Obtained a postgraduate university degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Experience presenting quantitative research findings and methodologies
+ Familiarity with derivatives risk management and structured product lifecycle
+ Prior experience working with cross-functional teams in financial services
+ Knowledge of legal documentation processes for financial products
