This position is being posted as a partnership between Sago and Sago Health, a Health Insights/Med Learning Group Company. The selected employee will be employed by Sago under the direction of Sago Health for the remainder of 2025 and fully moving to a Med Learning Group employee on January 1, 2026. Documentation of each employment will be provided to our selected candidate at hiring time.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for retaining and nurturing a defined portfolio of clients either individually or in partnership with an Account Executive. You will serve as the strategic partner and trusted advisor, driving growth by deepening client relationships, identifying new opportunities through client engagement and proactive outreach, and collaborating with operational teams to ensure flawless delivery of programs and projects. Success in this role is measured by revenue retention rates and client satisfaction, and a true ability to drive sales and revenue growth.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Retention
• Manage client relationships ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term partnership.
• Provides fully comprehensive proposals including costs, detailed feasibility, and execution plan (recruitment/sample/digital tools).
• Partner with Account Executives when appropriate to create account plans that outline growth opportunities, expansion strategies, and risk mitigation for key clients.
• Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products, services, or capabilities aligned to client needs and business goals.
• Participate in quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and strategic planning sessions to showcase value, performance metrics, and innovation opportunities.
• Monitor client satisfaction and act quickly to address potential risks or concerns before they impact retention.
Strategic Partnership & Consultation
• Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients translate their business and research objectives into actionable solutions.
• Based upon client input and assessment, recognize the need to adapt a product or research approach to meet the client needs and works with appropriate internal resources to develop and design the appropriate solution.
• Partner cross-functionally to deliver projects that meet and exceed client expectations.
• Stay informed on industry trends, client business changes, and competitive dynamics to anticipate future needs.
• Partner with Project Management to ensure quality and timeliness of project delivery.
• Monitor project performance and profitability; take proactive steps to improve margins and operational efficiency.
• Approve budgets, proposals, and billing, ensuring transparency and alignment with client agreements.
Performance & Collaboration
• Meet or exceed key performance indicators including retention rates, and satisfaction scores.
• Partner with Account Executives when appropriate to support new opportunities within existing accounts or new divisions of current clients, initiate client outreach and contribute to client presentations.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, sharing best practices, client feedback, and success stories across the team.
• Represent the company’s brand and values through authentic relationships, transparency, and accountability in every client interaction.
• Gain a full understanding of Sago groups products, services and capabilities and apply that knowledge to satisfy client needs and project success requirements.

QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
• Must have 5+ years of experience working in a market research environment, combined with strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data collection methodologies.
Computer Skills:
• MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
• Proficiency with Salesforce CPQ a plus
Travel:
• Willingness to travel less than 25% of the time (client or team meetings)

Job Type: Full-time, exempt
Compensation Details:
+ Base salary: $65,000-$80,000 per year, based on experience
+ Commission eligible
