    How you will create an impact

     

    As a member of the AIG Global Functions Talent Acquisition team, it is your priority to be a talent magnet and captivate new employees who are passionate about their work and are eager to make an impact. In this role, you will be experienced in seeing through full life cycle search and will attract the best candidates across various businesses within Global Functions while being committed to a positive candidate experience. North America Talent Acquisition supports an employee force of over 5,000 driving AIG’s insurance businesses and operations in the United States, Canada and Bermuda. As a leader in commercial and personal insurance solutions, AIG is one of the world’s most far-reaching property casualty networks, offering a broad range of products, including Liability, Financial Lines, Property, Global Specialty, Personal Lines and Accident and Health. Our experts help businesses and individuals understand risk and constructively manage some of the biggest challenges our World has ever faced. Talent Acquisition services all insurance products and functions, ranging from early careers to executive search, including the global headquarters and executive suite in New York. This role focuses on sourcing, pipelining and matching experienced talent for front office revenue clients driving policy underwriting and claims processing.

    What you need to succeed:

    Execution of Sourcing & Recruiting Strategy

     

    + Identify/clarify hiring specifications and competencies, document and confirm principal requirements to ensure accurate and detailed job descriptions, and then develop and execute TA action plans.

    + Creatively and proactively source, screen, interview, and recommend candidates for open roles and effectively share talent across peer or business groups.

    + Identify, plan, and attend internal and external networking events that will connect you directly with talent as they arise.

    + With the support of TA colleagues, keep up to date with new recruiting methods; assist in developing and maintaining consistent corporate recruiting strategies and processes.

     

    Client Partnership & Relationship Management

     

    + Build strong consultative relationships with HR Partners and Business Leaders, as well as other Talent Team members in order to understand business priorities and anticipate staffing needs.

    + Develop robust partnerships among our organization, including Culture & Inclusion, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Resource Groups (ERG), Legal, Employee Relations, and HR Shared Services.

    + Demonstrate a consultative style, providing relevant insightful metrics when necessary and industry trends to develop creative solutions for hiring managers.

    + Ensure a smooth recruiting process by using communication skills to manage expectations and provide process updates with the hiring team throughout the recruiting lifecycle.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

    + At least 5+ years of work experience in a corporate recruiting environment and/or agency search firm experience

    + Experience with recruiting for P&C insurance and/or risk management consulting is ideal, with financial services overall preferred

    + Experience with Workday Recruiting applicant tracking system is desired

    + Experience with Beamery talent management platform is desired

    + Experience owning client relationships and ability to well manage large volume of search assignments

    + Participate in organized Talent Acquisition Events (internally and externally)

    + Experienced in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

    + Ability to work in a collaborative fast-paced environment, highly organized and detailed oriented

    + Passionate about providing exceptional customer service and care to internal and external partners, clients and candidates

    + Excellent influencing and communication skills with the ability to pinpoint and present insightful data and solutions to clients to establish credibility and build trust.

    + Strong discernment, resourcefulness, dot-connection ability and risk/opportunity assessment around resolution of case complexities and elevation of relationship management

    + Creativity and resourcefulness with talent sourcing

    + Demonstrated experience in running an efficient and productive requisition book and client service and candidate cultivation model

    + Possess a wide range of experience on current corporate recruiting policies, practices, and industry trends

    + Aptitude in assessing intangible aspects of candidates accurately (candidate’s fit with the position and with the company culture)

    + Strong knowledge of basic employment law, OFCCP guidelines and HR practices

    + Proven ability to identify opportunities and help drive TA process improvements

    + Ability and flexibility to execute in a changing professional environment
