Humana is committed to inclusive communication—and we’re looking for a product manager to lead the development of capabilities that support alternate formats for members with accessibility needs. As Senior Associate/Product Manager – Inclusive Communications Capabilities (Alternate Formats), you’ll define tools and workflows that ensure marketing materials are accessible, compliant, and equitable.
This role is central to enabling scalable, inclusive communications that support health equity, regulatory compliance, and member trust.
This role supports the development of alternate format capabilities, including Braille, large print, audio, and other accessible formats. You’ll collaborate with compliance, operations, and vendor teams to ensure accessibility standards—such as ADA, Section 508, and CMS guidelines—are consistently met across all marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities
Capability Ownership & Roadmap Development
+ Define and evolve product requirements for alternate format workflows and vendor integrations, ensuring scalability and adaptability to evolving accessibility needs
+ Embed ADA, Section 508, and CMS accessibility standards into design, review, and approval processes for all member communications
+ Partner with platform and operations teams to enable automation, tracking, and fulfillment of alternate format requests, including quality monitoring and feedback loops
Embedded Campaign Support & Cross-Functional Coordination
+ Collaborate with campaign and content teams to proactively identify materials requiring alternate formats and facilitate timely conversion and distribution
+ Support reporting, documentation, and audit readiness for accessibility-related communications
Accessibility Innovation & Process Optimization
+ Advise on process improvements and industry best practices to strengthen Humana’s accessibility posture
+ Stay informed on emerging technologies and regulatory updates impacting accessibility standards
AI Enablement & Innovation
+ Evaluate GenAI tools for automated content transformation (e.g., text-to-speech, large print formatting, Braille translation) while ensuring outputs meet accessibility and compliance standards
+ Contribute to AI-driven experimentation efforts that enhance member experience, such as predictive identification of accessibility needs or adaptive content delivery
Continuous Improvement & Best Practices
+ Monitor vendor performance, format accuracy, fulfillment quality, and member satisfaction across alternate format services
+ Leverage feedback loops and performance data to drive continuous improvement in accessibility workflows and fulfillment timelines
+ Advise on best practices for accessible communications and foster a culture of inclusion and equity across teams

+ This role enables Humana to deliver accessible communications to all members, including those with visual, auditory, or other disabilities—ensuring compliance with federal and CMS regulations, supporting health equity, and enhancing member satisfaction and trust.

Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, related field or equivalent work experience
+ 3–5 years of experience in accessibility, compliance, or marketing operations
+ Familiarity with ADA and CMS accessibility standards
+ Experience in healthcare or regulated industries
Preferred Qualifications
+ Exposure to alternate format production workflows and vendors
+ Understanding of inclusive design principles and accessibility technologies
+ Experience with scaled agile frameworks and cross-functional product collaboration
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$104,000 - $143,000 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
