Job Title: Production ManagerJob Description
Lead and ensure the successful, on-time delivery of all military, aerospace, space, and return/repair projects. Oversee production activities for relevant product lines, ensuring adherence to quality and schedule commitments. Manage the receipt, repair, and return of products within agreed timeframes. Partner with project managers on development and new product introduction (NPI) programs. Coordinate with global operations to meet customer delivery requirements. Define, track, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for all active programs. Direct planners and buyers to ensure the supply chain delivers required materials.
Responsibilities
+ Supervise all production operations, including assembly, testing, and shipping/receiving.
+ Provide timely and accurate production status updates to operations, program management, engineering, and downstream teams.
+ Ensure production tasks meet program requirements, quality standards, and schedule commitments.
+ Oversee employee training, supervision, and direction to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant operations.
+ Foster effective working relationships across departments to maintain a positive and productive environment.
+ Ensure all quality-related work is completed and documented to meet internal and customer standards.
+ Support and drive cost-reduction and process improvement initiatives.
+ Collaborate closely with planners, buyers, and other cross-functional teams to maintain on-time delivery.
+ Set performance goals and regularly review team member progress.
+ Mentor and support the professional growth and skill development of team members.
+ Identify talent gaps and participate in hiring processes.
+ Direct supply chain activities to ensure timely material availability.
+ Work with internal departments to resolve issues impacting delivery, quality, or timelines.
+ Maintain detailed status tracking across all projects and programs.
+ Provide accurate weekly status reports to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Essential Skills
+ Familiarity with IPC standards, such as IPC-A-610 for assembly or IPC/WHMA-A-620 for cable and wire harness assemblies.
+ Production management experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
+ Knowledge of new product introduction (NPI) through production, repair, and return (RMA) processes.
+ Experience in managing the full product life cycle.
+ Understanding of military, aerospace, and space industry-specific standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Proven track record in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and process improvement.
+ 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working at a Prime Aerospace company.

The role involves overseeing electro-mechanical assembly, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and managing cross-functional teams. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chatsworth, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $60.10/hr.
