CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Data Engineer position for our client in Atlanta, GA.
**Location:** Atlanta, GA
**Duration:** 12 months
About the Role:
CTG is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead enterprise data governance and metadata management initiatives for our client. You’ll play a key role in migrating legacy tools, implementing automated workflows, and ensuring high-quality, well-documented data across the organization. This is a hands-on role that combines Python development, metadata management, and business intelligence reporting.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead the migration of tools from Informatica and Ab Initio to Ataccama, developing and enforcing data quality rules.
+ Drive enterprise rollout of Alation, Manta, and Ataccama/BigEye across multiple lines of business, ensuring metadata, lineage, and data quality standards are met.
+ Design and maintain Python-based automations for metadata onboarding, MDE job orchestration, lineage ingestion, and Alation API integrations, with robust logging and audit capabilities.
+ Implement and operationalize CDE/DCBP frameworks, including mapping policy to controls, defining ownership models, and managing steward workflows and approvals.
+ Build and manage web-based BI reporting solutions, dashboards, and scorecards; integrate across platforms for seamless reporting and analysis.
+ Deliver BI reports via web, email, portal, or file server to support enterprise decision-making.
Required Skills:
+ Strong experience with Business Intelligence platforms: Cognos, Actuate, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Click
+ Python programming for automation and API integrations
+ Metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks
+ Enterprise data governance implementation
+ Hands-on experience with Alation, Manta, Ataccama, or BigEye
Experience:
+ Proven track record in data engineering and metadata management
+ Hands-on enterprise tool rollout experience
+ Strong BI reporting and dashboard development skills
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
