Job Description
Job DescriptionRole: Lab TechnicianJob Summary: This position is largely dedicated to the assessment and testing of asphalt roofing shingles and rolled roofing. Routine tasks include performing required testing and writing basic laboratory reports, analyze data and work with production team to make process corrections. Maintains SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and GHS (Global Harmonized System) files. Other projects and assignments related to research and quality assurance may be assigned.Benefits

Job Requirements
+ The successful candidate will possess good character, strong work ethic, demonstrate organized work habits, high attention to detail, supportive of colleagues as necessary and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
+ Basic computer skills required for report writing and spreadsheet management are needed (Word and Excel). A proven safe work record accompanied by a strong commitment to safe and clean work habits is essential.
+ Preferred skills include some post-secondary education in the areas of science and mathematics, previous laboratory experience following SOPs and working in accordance with ASTM and ISO.
+ Previous experience with asphalt roofing products is not required; training will be provided.
+ Experience in heavy manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
+ Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds on a routine basis
+ Must be able to navigate stairs as needed
+ Must be able to walk and/or stand 50% of the shift
Hours of WorkMonday to Friday Day ShiftPay Scale - depending on experience and skill set. Overtime may be required based upon business demands
