Essential Functions

Specific tasks, responsibilities or competencies may be documented in the incumbent’s performance objectives as outlined by the incumbent’s immediate supervisor or manager._
1. Research and cross reference all new and pending medication to ensure the proper set-up and placement within the pharmacy. Placement shall include rotating products for purposes of utilizing products with shortest expiration dating first.
2. Assist in transition of Inventory from SI Baker to Knapp automation system including the stock locations. This will also include Baker/Knapp-related projects that will be inventory related.
3. Load all active medications into the Baker/Sanita's system admin tool to include the following information: 1) Proper NDC/Scan data; 2) Item Size; 3) Medication weight; 4) Volume of medication to include cell location and other cubing data; 5) Proper automation vehicle based on velocity
4. Ensure perpetual inventory of Baker/Knapp system is accurate.
5. Perform various automation reporting including location reports and product utilization. Utilize
automation reports to determine the proper placement of all product within automation system(s) while ensuring maximum efficiency.
6. Perform on-the-fly product changes as needed
7. Review all daily out of stock medications. Cross-reference all inventory tools and take appropriate
steps to reduce the end of day out of stock reporting.
8. Review manually processed orders to ensure the automation is being properly utilized to fill new or pending medications.
9. Assist with bi-weekly, quarterly, and annual inventory(s) as needed.
10. Assist with receiving functions as needed
11. Work closely with the purchasing department on various tasks as needed
12. Perform weekly EVP function

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education, Licensure or Certification:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
Work Experience or Related Experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required
• Approachable with the ability to practice attentive and active listening
• Perform duties and responsibilities with a systematic approach and persistent sense of closure to complete the job with a high level of accomplishment
• Ability to work within team constraints
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of medication brand/generic names and DEA controlled substance schedules
• Understanding of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
• Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
Travel Requirements and Conditions

Work Environment, Conditions and Demands
• Work is performed in a climate-controlled, smoke-free internal environment
• Work schedule requires rotating weekend shifts on Saturdays

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently throughout the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten
(10) hours per day.
• May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
• May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion
• Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
