Essential Functions

1. Monitor and manage daily fulfillment workflow to ensure timely dispensing and shipping of prescriptions. Allocate resources and adjust staffing coverage to align with changing business needs. Resolve workflow disruptions or operational challenges in real-time. Support management with pharmacy closing duties and end-of-day operations.
2. Lead by example and foster a positive, high-performance work culture. Oversee fulfillment technicians during their shifts and provide support in real-time.
3. Conduct on-the-job training for new and existing staff to ensure understanding of SOPs and quality expectations. Provide ongoing feedback and support performance management initiatives. Collaborate with supervisors to identify technician development opportunities and ensure adequate shift coverage.
4. Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, SOPs, and internal policies. Assist with documenting and reporting any policy violations or quality concerns to supervisors. Monitor technician compliance with product outdate assignments and accuracy checks.
5. Promote and support a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
6. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and streamline workflow processes.
7. Participate in and support fulfillment operations projects and strategic initiatives.
8. Cross-train in various fulfillment areas to provide operational flexibility and coverage.
9. Perform technician duties as needed, including dispensing and inventory management tasks.
10. Utilize pharmacy software and fulfillment systems to monitor workflows and generate reports.
11. Assist with non-routine tasks including system troubleshooting and escalation of customer service issues.

Supervisory and Managerial Responsibility
• This role does not include direct supervisory responsibility.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education, Licensure or Certification:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Active Certified Pharmacy Technical (CPhT) credential required in good standing
Work Experience or Related Experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a fulfillment or production-based environment.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of pharmacy fulfillment
• Previous experience in a lead role or mentoring experience preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Comfortable using pharmacy software systems and workflow management tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment requiring flexibility and adaptability
Travel Requirements and Conditions
• Travel is not generally required.
Work Environment, Conditions and Demands
• Work is performed in a climate-controlled, smoke-free facility.
• May require extended hours or weekend shifts based on business needs.

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stoop intermittently throughout the day
• May be required to stand or sit for extended periods (7-10 hours/day)

• Ability to distinguish colors and adjust focus
• Normal hearing ability required to communicate in a warehouse environment
