    Summary

    This role serves as a strategic connector between internal teams and external partners, driving the planning and flawless execution of community-centered event partnerships across Arizona. With a focus on fostering authentic relationships and advancing corporate objectives, the Community Activation Strategist will lead the activation of tradeshows, education booths, marches, parades, and other impactful community events. The position requires a dynamic individual who can cultivate meaningful engagement with nonprofit organizations and community members, ensuring each event reflects the community's and company's values and delivers a memorable experience.

    What You'll Do

    + Manage the on-site execution of community-focused events relating to a variety of segments. This is inclusive of power generation, sustainability, energy efficiency, safety, etc.

    + Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to plan and execute detailed event strategies tied to corporate sponsorships and nonprofit partnerships. These efforts aim to reach target audiences, engage customers and community members, support corporate objectives, and enhance brand loyalty and customer satisfaction.

    + Contribute to the process for pre-campaign analyses, ongoing tracking, and post-campaign analyses for sponsorships.

    + Participate in quarterly planning meetings, budgeting, and reporting of performance metrics.

    + Direct the development of audio/visual, virtual components, displays, signage, collateral materials and other items required to achieve the event objectives as needed.

    + Ensure on-site logistics are managed effectively for SRP events and activities, with a keen focus on safety for staff and attendees.

    What It Takes To Succeed

    + Minimum of two years of experience in event marketing, execution, and evaluation, community engagement or a related discipline.

    + Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.

    + Working knowledge of the electric utility industry is preferred.

    + Due to the nature of these responsibilities, flexibility is essential for irregular workdays/hours per calendar week and being available at any time to address urgent event needs that are escalated to this position.

    + Considerable local travel is required, with occasional overnight travel.

    Experience

    • For a Level 1 (Associate), a minimum of no previous years of experience to two years related experience is required (if no degree, four-six years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling four-six years). • For a Level 2 (Journey), a minimum of two years of experience to four years related experience is required (if no degree, six-eight years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling six-eight years). • For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).

    Education

    A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

     

    Hybrid Workplace

     

    SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
