    United Protective Services is hiring for a Overnight Security Supervisor in the Westchase Houston area. Please contact us and we will interview you in our main office.

     

    The Overnight Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all security operations during overnight hours to ensure the safety and protection of property, personnel, and visitors. This role includes supervising security officers, conducting patrols, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents. The ideal candidate is highly observant, professional, and capable of leading a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Protect property and individuals from theft, damage, or hazards.

    + Enforce site rules and security protocols.

    + Conduct patrols and inspect safety equipment.

    + Monitor CCTV and access control systems.

    + Manage keys, badges, and issued equipment.

    + Complete detailed incident and daily reports; use mobile reporting tools when available.

    + Follow all post orders and emergency procedures.

    + Identify and respond to unauthorized persons or suspicious activity; involve authorities as needed.

    + Provide professional customer service and assist visitors.

    + Use sound judgment in emergencies; escalate or intervene appropriately.

    + Maintain effective communication with team, Essential Skills and Abilities:

    + Must be able to perform rigorous foot patrol duties for an entire shift

    + Essential duties require the ability to stand, stoop, bend, climb stairs, and walk for an extended period

    + Must be able to operate telephones in a professional manner

    + Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations

    + Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

    + Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Proficient in the use of basic computer knowledge

    + Strong attention to detail

    + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

    Core Skills – Overnight Security Supervisor

    + Surveillance Operations: Skilled in monitoring CCTV and access control systems to detect and respond to security threats.

    + Patrolling & Risk Identification: Experienced in conducting thorough patrols and identifying safety hazards or irregularities.

    + Incident Response: Capable of managing emergencies and security incidents calmly and effectively.

    + De-escalation & Conflict Management: Trained in defusing tense situations and handling confrontations professionally.

    + Policy Enforcement: Enforces property rules and procedures with fairness and consistency.

    + Reporting & Documentation: Proficient in writing detailed incident and daily activity reports, including digital reporting tools.

    + Access & Asset Control: Maintains strict control of keys, ID badges, and issued security equipment.

    + Customer Service: Delivers clear communication and assistance to visitors, tenants, and staff.

    + Team Leadership: Coordinates with security personnel, management, and law enforcement as needed.

    + Operational Knowledge: Well-versed in post orders, site-specific protocols, and safety regulations.

    + Critical Thinking: Makes sound decisions quickly, especially in high-pressure or emergency situations.

    + Training & Compliance: Maintains current certifications and completes all required training.

     

    Work Schedule

     

    Wednesday 2300-0700

     

    Thursday - 2300-0700

     

    Friday - 2300-0700

     

    (24 hours per week)

     

    Education Requirements (All)

     

    High School Diploma or GED

     

    Certification Requirements (All)

     

    Level 2 Security License
