    Job Description: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall condition of the facility’s physical environment. This role performs a variety of semi-skilled maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

     

    About us: Especially Kidz is a skilled pediatric nursing facility located in Shelbyville, Indiana.  Especially Kidz is seeking a Maintenance Technician to become a part of our team where our primary goal is to provide exceptional care for our residents.

    About the Role: Especially Kidz is seeking a Maintenance Technician to-

    + Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.

    + Perform preventative maintenance.

    + Handle basic repairs and maintenance.

    + Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them.

    + Repair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.

    About you: The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

    + Proven maintenance experience.

    + Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.

    + Ability to check repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.

    + Experience performing routine maintenance.

    + Strong organizational and follow up skills.

    + Eye for detail.

    + Professional presentation and attitude.

    + Ability to maintain focus while working individually.

    + Strong time management skills.
