This hands-on role requires exceptional coding skills, a passion for technology and engineering excellence, and the ability to lead and contribute significantly to the product development. You will play a pivotal role in contributing and maintaining our products, ensuring alignment with business goals and best in class user experience requirements. You will use open-source tech to build & maintain software that powers the Finance Tech Disputes & Exceptions Management products. You will leverage React JS, React Native, TypeScript, Cypress, and other tools/frameworks/practices to build web & mobile products.
About Team:
We are the EBS Disputes & Exceptions Management Engineering group. Our mission is to enable seamless, accurate, and efficient processes within Walmart's Finance Tech ecosystem by managing disputes and exceptions with innovation and precision. We design and maintain tools that empower internal teams and external suppliers to resolve payment discrepancies quickly and effectively, leveraging automation to minimize manual effort and ensure smooth collaboration. Through continuous improvement and a commitment to excellence, we strive to create a frictionless experience that supports Walmart's broader vision of operational efficiency and partnership success.
What you’ll do:
+ Translate requirements into solutions, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional team and keep a high bar on overall code/software quality.
+ Collaborate with product managers, front-end engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver features and solutions.
+ Design, develop, and maintain our web & mobile applications using ReactJS & React Native.
+ Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
+ Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following engineering best practices.
+ Write unit tests, integration tests, and perform debugging to ensure the quality and performance of applications.
+ Utilize testing tools such as Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library, and Cypress for thorough testing and quality assurance.
+ Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
+ Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and other server-side services.
+ Debug and troubleshoot issues in distributed systems across environments.
+ Contribute to performance optimization, security improvements, and system resilience.
+ Uphold high standards in quality and operational excellence.
What you’ll bring
+ 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on ReactJS & React Native.
+ Strong knowledge of software design, distributed system design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
+ Strong experience with ReactJS & React Native frameworks including state management with Redux.
+ Strong understanding of web fundamentals (HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript/JavaScript).
+ Familiarity with RESTful APIs and authentication integration using JWT.
+ Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
+ Experience with monitoring tools such as – Splunk, OpenObserve, Firebase, Grafana, Prometheus.
+ Experienced with using GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development velocity and innovation.
+ Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
+ Sound decision-making with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a complex and fast-paced environment.
+ Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
