    Conducts and oversees audits for management to assess effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations by performing the following duties.

    What you will be responsible for:

    + Participate and assist the VP of Internal Audit in the annual risk assessment process and development of the annual audit plan.

    + Participate and perform procedures that identify and assess high risk areas in the organization and support company’s ERM program including surveying, audit coverage, and mitigation procedures.

    + Evaluate and improve the underlying business processes and internal controls, compliance and IT risk areas, as well as ways of increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

    + Responsible for the oversight on multiple concurrent audit projects (internal audits, SOX 404, reviews) and communicates progress of audits to the Director of Internal Audit on a timely basis.

    + Plans and participates in the planning, oversight and reporting of internal audits of AAR operating units, corporate and support functions, and other audit areas. Drafts audit findings and recommendations for issues identified and discussed/validated these with audit team/management and business.

    + Responsible for the supervision of the audit team and project executions, scope and audit programs to provide guidance and direction during the planning, fieldwork and reporting phases of engagements.

    + Responsible for the review of all projects, written communications such as audit report, client correspondence, memos, working papers that document the procedures performed, findings, and conclusions Monitors and follows through on issues/problems discovered in audit process to final resolution and implementation.

    + Developing and maintaining productive client and staff relationships

    + Responsible for staff development including training, recruiting and performance appraisals.

    + Assists with special projects, investigations, and department administrative tasks as necessary.

    + All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    What you need to be successful in this role:

    + Proficiency with desktop Microsoft applications.

    + Experience with Lawson, Hyperion, ACL/CAAT a plus.

    + Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in accounting, finance or comparable business degree from a four-year college or university; minimum of eight years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA, CPA, and/or CIA preferred.

    Compensation:

    The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. [In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a bonus.] AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
