We're looking for a seasoned embedded software engineer who loves solving tough technical problems and enjoys mentoring others along the way. What You Will Do

+ Design, code and test embedded software in C, python and at times Ada for safety critical applications

+ Work closely with systems, hardware and verification engineers to bring ideas to life - from concept to certification.

+ Contribute to model-based design in MATLAB/Simulink

+ Make sure we stay compliant to DO-178B/C, DO-331, DO-330 - without losing sight of innovation and efficiency.

+ Serve as a team member and technical mentor - share what you know, review their code, and keep our standards high.

+ Take ownership of challenges, dive into root causes and find smart, sustainable solutions.

Qualifications You Must Have

+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer

+ Aerospace Industry experience

+ Software & system engineering experience.

+ Matlab, Ada, C, Python, Linux, MS Office experience.

+ Experience coding in C and Python.

+ Experience with emulator environments for software testing and debugging.

**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
