Description
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for maintaining and enhancing quality systems, documentation, and compliance across all stages of the product lifecycle. This role ensures that internal standards and external regulations are met through rigorous testing, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
+ Administer all quality records and processes within Specright (specification data management software), including specifications, concerns, test data, and supplier documentation. Generate reports to support cross-functional visibility and decision-making.
+ Manage the intake and resolution of quality complaints and feedback through the Specright concerns process. Lead activities related to corrective and preventive actions, ensure timely follow-up and documentation.
+ Execute product and component testing in accordance with the master testing schedule. Track testing progress, validate results against specifications or defined requirements, ensure systematic filing and traceability of test data.
+ Maintain all quality records as prescribed by internal procedures, ensure timely generation, accuracy, and organized accessibility. Records include material dispositions, non-conformance reports, corrective action requests, work instructions, lot certifications, and supplier accreditation documents (e.g., ISO certificates).
+ Participate in process and product audits at supplier and partner locations. Document findings, develop / report on corrective action plans, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to commitments.
+ Contribute to the development of supplier quality assurance plans and control procedures to validate finished goods from all manufacturing sites meet defined quality standards.
+ Collaborate with internal and external ISO/SEI audit preparation and execution; involves recordkeeping and resolution of non-conformance. Partners directly with auditors and certifying authorities.
+ Oversee regular review of the quality program, recommend and implement procedural enhancements with an objective to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance compliance protocols.
+ Provide support to the PTC Lab and Quality Control team with product testing and inspections as needed.
+ Perform other responsibilities as required by business needs
Requirements:
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Bachelor's degree preferred.
+ 5+ years equivalent experience in quality/manufacturing
+ Working knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance in the Safety industry.
+ Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
+ Domestic and international travel will be required. This will include up to 10% with some overnight stays.
