Job Description:

_Your Responsibilities_

The intern in the Marketing Analytics department will support key initiatives across marketing campaigns, customer insights and promotional performance. This internship will offer hands-on experience analyzing marketing data, building dashboards and generating actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.

This internship will provide the opportunity to work cross functionally with other business partners such as our Marketing, Merchandising, and E-commerce departments to help understand and grow their business.

Your Responsibilities

+ Turn KPI reports into actionable dashboards that will be used to measure campaign success, identify issues, trends and opportunities for changes in promotional strategy

+ Assist in collecting, cleaning and analyzing marketing data

+ Join customer and transactional data to uncover customer insights and help drive contact strategy

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for optimization

+ Analyze adhoc Ace Rewards and marketing questions for internal partners and utilize SQL and Alteryx

+ Present findings and recommendations to marketing and analytics stakeholders

The ideal intern will possess the following:

+ Working towards a bachelor’s degree in the following area(s): Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Marketing, Business Administration

+ Entering Senior year of college

+ Programming skills: SQL, Python, R, or Alteryx exposure

+ Experience with data visualization tools. Power BI preferred

+ Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail skills.

+ Strong research, problem-solving and analytics ability.

+ Ability to brainstorm and bring new ideas into existing projects.

+ Self-leadership and drive to accomplish tasks at best of their ability.

+ Analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Knowledge and interest in Ace Hardware Corporation

+ Willingness and ability to give presentations to colleagues, managers and directors

_Location Description_

Ace Hardware corporate headquarters is about 20 miles west of Chicago and you’ll get the very best of city and suburban life – prestigious shopping, dining, recreation, performing arts and historical neighborhoods. Our brand new corporate facility opened in September 2023 and has state of the amenities such as a work-out facility, underground parking and upscale cafeteria. We work in the office the majority of the week and enjoy everything our new facility has to offer together as a team.
