Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for managing, facilitating, and monitoring the plant Work Management flow process across NRG’s generation fleet in Texas, East and West segments. This includes developing, implementing, tracking and monitoring vest in class standardized Work Management practices for power plant operations. The key program attributes should include planning, scheduling, execution, and accurate cost tracking. This role requires coordination and execution for continuous process improvements for the fleet wide maintenance program. This include the sharing of best practices, key lessons learned, extent of condition implementation and training of personnel. In addition, this role will develop and support Work Management specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) which will be used to monitor the current state and drive fleetwide improvements.
Responsibilities
+ Effectively lead a team of high performing individuals that are currently implementing the Work Management process in the generation fleet.
+ Develop strong relationships with their customers at the management level to help drive expected improvements down through the organization.
+ Provide the vision to the Work Management team and incorporate the best-in-class industry standards while incorporating current best practices across NRG’s generation fleet.
+ Strengthen the planning and scheduling capabilities at the plant level while driving consistency amongst the fleet.
+ Be the chief liaison of Work Management for the company’s key stakeholders including plant operations, supply chain management, IT, and senior leadership.
+ Develop and implement short term tactical plans while focusing on long-term business plans for maintenance work management and contractor management processes at plant locations, corporate-wide.
+ Implement strategies for continuous fleet wide maintenance planning, scheduling, and asset reliability improvements, including process improvement, fleet training and best practice sharing.
+ Conduct thorough review of current Work Management program, identify key process gaps and implement standardized practices for all plant operations.
+ Ensure that work order coding and prioritization is standardized across the fleet so that equipment cost tracking can be used to identify maintenance drivers.
+ Develop reporting to monitor emergent work, break-in work levels and work order backlog, while creating a communication strategy to escalate the issues.
+ Manage maintenance contractors’ processes and practices utilizing SAP and TRACK as the standard tool for contractor cost control.
+ Work to address both maintenance planning process and SAP system opportunities to drive efficiencies, including development and validation of Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Support regional or national user groups to improve maintenance planning, asset management, equipment reliability and the use of SAP.
+ Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned (SAP, CMET, Primavera P-6).
+ Develop project charters, functional requirements, test scripts, and training materials for specific projects.
+ Assist in data conversion efforts for new acquisitions and mergers.
+ Provide business support on SAP, post go-live support for new implementations, report development and workflow related issues.
+ Actively participate and assist in driving program expectations in project planning sessions with team members to analyze business and technical requirements.

+ Knowledge of power plant systems, maintenance, and operations

+ Ability to work well under pressure, remaining focused and calm in the face of distractions, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
+ Demonstrated ability to identify and implement detailed solutions to complex technical problems involving multiple technologies
+ Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) at all levels
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work based on ever changing business needs
+ Ability to prioritize and complete tasks on time without direct supervision
+ Ability to work across organizations to improve processes and practices
+ Strong functional knowledge of SAP Work Management
+ Ability to productively use MS Office Applications, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, & Power BI
+ Ability to travel to plant locations to facilitate routine meetings with key stakeholders and users of the systems
Requirements:
+ High school diploma and 10 years power plant experience background and a minimum of 5 years of maintenance planning/scheduling, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) & Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program
OR
+ High school diploma and 10 years’ experience in a similar industry (oil and gas, chemical or manufacturing) environment background and a minimum of 5 years of maintenance planning/scheduling, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) & Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program
+ 3-5 years’ experience supervising or managing people and working in a team environment.
+ 5 years of experience working with SAP, or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
+ 5 years of experience in project planning, project management, preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices
+ Experience using a personal computer and standard business software
+ Requires up to 50% nationwide travel
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business
+ Has developed SMART goals to drive team expectations and the team strategy
+ Experience in developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance improvement
