Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Department in Lewisburg, TN. This full-time, first-shift position requires expertise in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. Welding skills are a plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility maintenance and be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Plumbing
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine specifications for installations.
- Install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures.
- Determine water supply networks and drainage systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles.
- Inspect structures and test completed work.
- Maintain work logs and storage areas.
Carpentry
- Build, repair, and install counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, doors, and trim.
- Painting
- Interpret drawings and blueprints.
- Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings.
- Set up and break down cubicle partitions.
- Maintain organized storage and prepare materials.
Electrical
- Work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
- Install and repair electrical equipment and components.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for machinery.
- Diagnose and replace faulty components.
- Conduct building safety inspections and maintain safety systems.
General Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
- Use various power and hand tools efficiently.
- May supervise others on major installations and repairs.
- Follow all department and plant SOPs and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned which also includes supporting Machine Maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
- Trade school certification
- Ability to drive a box truck with manual transmission.
- Strong computer skills.
- Electrical license (LLE) through the State of Tennessee for projects under $25,000.00
- Limited Licensed Plumber (LLP) license for projects under $25,000.00
