Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Development Lead within Mercury Marine’s Test & Development team you will have responsibility for leading the Mechanical Development Technicians and Build Coordination team, in addition to supporting peripheral systems development.

Essential Functions:

+ Lead and provide daily work direction to the Mechanical Development technicians and Build Coordination team.

+ Coordinate Mechanical Development test activities, test engines, technician resources, and dyno resources.

+ Ensure adequate information, parts, and documentation exists prior to engine builds and tests.

+ Identify and execute ways to improve test efficiency and communication of critical test and scheduling information to the organization.

+ Identify and execute upgrades to improve component testing.

+ Align readiness of component test stands with program timelines by leading the development and procurement of test fixturing and instrumentation.

+ Assist the Mechanical Development manager with resource planning for upcoming projects.

+ Be the Voice of Mechanical Development for peripherals component development.

+ Working directly with Peripherals engineers, assist with creating development plans, communicating test parts needs, executing applicable DVP tasks, and providing summarized results/conclusions.

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

+ 8+ years of engineering experience working with internal combustion engine systems

+ 2+ years leadership experience

+ Hands-on engine experience

The anticipated pay range for this position is $100,900 - $160,800 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus program. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
