    About the Role:

    As a CBRE Project Management Consultant, you will be responsible for providing consulting services to an assigned market or client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives.

     

    Must possess demonstrated ability to oversee vendor and construction agreements, while also having the ability to work with Site Lead to assist in managing project budget & schedule for Hyperscale Data Centers. Strong knowledge of MEP construction management with a solid track record of managing capital projects.

     

    Join our team onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. We are willing to provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Procurement & Logistics Management

    + Track and coordinate orders for project-supplied equipment such as servers, cooling systems, electrical panels, and generators.

    + Collaborate with vendors to confirm specifications, lead times, and shipping details.

    + Align delivery schedules with construction milestones to prevent project delays.

    + Ensure seamless integration of project-supplied equipment into construction workflows.

    + Construction Coordination & Project Support

    + Foster collaborative relationships with all project team members.

    + Serve as a liaison between the construction team, engineers, and equipment vendors.

    + Ensure the timely installation of project components by coordinating with contractors.

    + Communicate technical specifications and installation requirements to field teams.

    + Support Request for Information (RFI) responses, submittal reviews, and schedule updates.

    + Assist in tracking work progress, maintaining project documentation, and managing punch list completion.

    + Documentation & Compliance

    + Maintain accurate records of equipment procurement, delivery timelines, and installation

    + progress.

    + Ensure that all project components comply with project standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.

    + Coordinate equipment inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.

    + Risk Management & Problem Resolution

    + Identify and address logistical challenges, such as delayed shipments, damaged equipment, or installation issues.

    + Work proactively with vendors, construction teams, and engineers to mitigate potential risks.

    + Ensure that installation aligns with project timelines and design specifications.

    + Construction Assistant Project Management

    + Assist in managing subcontractor coordination, material tracking, and site logistics.

    + Support budget tracking, change orders, and procurement planning.

    + Work closely with project managers to ensure smooth execution and adherence to timelines.

    + Project Engineering Support (Entry-Level)

    + Provide technical support to field teams by reviewing drawings and specifications for equipment installation.

    + Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, reporting, and quality control measures.

    + Ensure that all necessary documentation is collected and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

    What You’ll Need:

    + Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience.

    + Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

    + Excellent collaboration and communication skills for interfacing with vendors, engineers, contractors, and project managers.

    + Ability to track equipment schedules, resolve logistical challenges, and ensure seamless integration.

    + Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

    + Knowledge of industry software tools for tracking, reporting, and scheduling construction tasks. including knowledge of Google Office suite. Examples include Sheets, Docs, Mail, etc.

    + Project Team Collaboration - Work closely with vendors, contractors, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and seamless coordination across all disciplines.
