About the Role:
As a CBRE Facilities Engineer, you will serve as the Facility’s Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) by utilizing a proactive cross-functional approach to enhance operations across the headquarters facility. Additionally, responsible for the CMMS system, including data integrity, application support, and training at the headquarters facility.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing Facility/Utility systems technical support, preventive maintenance development, spare parts strategy, and oversight of repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do:
+ Monitor, analyze, and resolve system and infrastructure problems of mission-critical operational systems
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and restore routine technical service and equipment problems using reliability principles.
+ Review system operations to ensure that laboratories are meeting operating standards.Including air flow/balancing, emergency power, etc to ensure operator safety.
+ Define, design, develop, monitor, and refine an asset's maintenance plan including predictive and preventative maintenance based on manufacturer’s recommendations and operational requirements.
+ Review equipment operations via BMS and other platforms to proactively identify potential problems and provide recommended resolutions.
+ Utilize knowledge of facilities operations and equipment to provide site improvement plans into annual capital/business planning process
+ Review potential projects and determine feasibility based on customer provided scope
+ Collaborate on site projects to ensure alignment with regulations and standards
+ Partner with client HSE team to ensure alignment and adherence to corporate operating policies and standards
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and restore routine technical service and equipment problems using reliability principles.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus by providing solution alternatives and collaborate with others to reach an agreement.
+ Help the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines between the site and corporate standards
+ Exercise judgment for recommended solutions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
+ Explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus and collaborate to reach agreement.
+ Clearly communicate potential issues and solutions, while partnering with central engineering team for alignment on resolution
+ Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide new perspectives and innovative solutions.
What You’ll Need:
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education may be considered.
+ Familiarity with facility and utility systems such as HVAC, Chilled water and steam distribution systems and BMS systems preferred.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with problem-solving ability.
+ Proficient in maintenance management systems & software (SAP Preferred)
