The Opportunity
As a dedicated **Executive Protection Officer Senior** , you will execute protective services for senior executives and other designated employees and their families. Investigates and resolves threats directed at company senior executives. Maintains a wide range of internal and external agency support to coordinate protective services and workplace violence prevention. Conducts a wide range of background investigations and screening. Coordinates the installation and maintenance of security alarm systems.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 5 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
+ Provides executive protective services for the President/CEO, the Chairman and the Board of Directors, the Executive Council members and other designated employees of the company and their families.
+ Ensures the execution of offsite and onsite planning, coordination and execution of executive protective services for designated persons.
+ Responsible for protective services to include personal protection, corporate facilities, residence, business and personal travel, ground and air transportation, and special projects.
+ Maintains a wide range of intra and interagency coordination for executive protective services and workplace violence prevention matters.
+ Ensures the procurement, installation, maintenance and operational aspects of security required for senior executives and other designated employees of the company.
+ Participates in the development and maintenance of personal profiles and conducts risk assessment of all personnel covered by protective services.
+ Coordinates with internal stakeholders on workplace violence prevention policy, process and procedural matters, to include developing and maintaining workplace violence awareness and training within the company.
+ Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
+ Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
+ 6 or more years of experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector security, to include at least 2 years of experience in workplace violence prevention, awareness, and training.
+ Successfully completed a U.S. government sponsored or a certified professional protective services/executive protection training program.
+ Must be able to travel domestically and internationally and hold a valid US passport.
+ Must currently hold or be able to obtain within the first year a state of Texas Level IV Personal Protection Officer license.
+ Possess the strength and physical ability necessary to perform the essential functions of the protective services position.
+ Active or honorably retired law enforcement status with eligibility to carry a firearm under the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA).
+ Demonstrated experience conducting advance work, threat assessments, and residential security operations.
+ Proven ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and operate independently under pressure.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with executives, family members, and stakeholders.
+ Must be able to obtain a 90% of greater on the USAA Handgun Qualification course.

+ Prior executive protection experience supporting senior leaders in a corporate or government environment.
+ Training in emergency medical response (TCCC, EMT, CPR/AED), defensive/evasive driving, and protective intelligence analysis.
+ Experience in global travel risk management, aviation coordination, or international logistics.
+ Strong service orientation and alignment with USAA’s mission and core values.
+ US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner [optional]
**Compensation range:** The salary range for this position is: $93,770.00 - $168,790.00.
**Compensation:** USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
