The Global Health Research Complex Service Center Manager is responsible for managing office operations for the Global Health Research Complex (GHRC).

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Five years of experience in business operations, research project management, and/or accounting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Demonstrated proficiency managing and reporting operational budget data at the project, portfolio, and business unit level using spreadsheets, presentation and word processing software programs. Ability to prepare and monitor project invoicing and report project deliverables against agreed milestones and objectives.
+ Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of technical and management personnel including research scientists and support staff, facilities operations and maintenance, unit level management, and executive level leadership.
+ Exceptional initiative, resourcefulness and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with executive office and protocols. Ability to work under deadlines and balance competing needs.
+ Excellent oral & written communication skills with a wide range of audiences.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills and experience delivering results against proscribed project deadlines and milestones. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Previous experience within the Texas A&M University System.
+ Experience in project budgeting, resource allocation, and employee time and effort on sponsored research projects.
+ Experience working with Sponsored Research Services, Divisional Business Support teams, or similar.
+ Experience with various business support and procurement software programs such as FAMIS, Workday, Canopy, Aggiebuy, iLabs etc.
+ Previous experience with service departments or centers.
+ Experience and familiarity with particular operational management issues (e.g. biorisk management, occupational health, regulatory compliance, etc.) associated with life science, biomedical and/or agricultural infectious disease research.
Responsibilities
+ Business Operations-,Manages business operations related to the GHRC. Identifies business-related needs and problems, and proposes solutions. Manages business workflow operations and promotes communication between functional areas and outside units. Assists GHRC Leadership in strategic management and annual rate study and budget development. Monitors progress against high level work plans, schedules, and budgets. Manages and evaluates business functions for departmental activities and ensures budget requirements are met and related policies and regulations are followed. Prepares, submits and monitors status of monthly invoices to GHRC clients and partners. Reviews, monitors, and recommends expenditures for approval and signature. Prepares financial reports and serves as GHRC’s main liaison to financial contacts, payroll, accounting, and procurement. Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates office staff and student workers.
+ Business Support- Coordinates with and serves as liaison to Research Enterprise Business Services (REBS) to develop and monitor budgets and accounts. Serves as a human resource contact for GHRC and works with REBS HR to assist with highly sensitive personnel matters and to implement and/or execute the unit’s personnel staffing plan. Works with Sponsored Research Services and Contracts Administration to submit, edit, and finalize contracts for approval.
+ Committees and Special Projects- Coordinates special projects and leads work groups or teams as directed. Manages and monitors administrative action items, and oversees administrative support for events, meetings, special projects and long-term initiatives. Coordinates with GHRC Facilities Division on facilities and equipment costs and on project progress and deadlines. Develops and maintains string working relationships with the staff of the OVPR as well as staff members in the GHRC and in other administrative offices.
+ Supervisory- Provide daily supervision and guidance to other individuals at the GHRC supporting business and operational continuity, which may include full time employees and/or student workers.
