    Home Office based positions:

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for supporting Category Manager and the achievement of the departmental or Category strategies and initiatives through relationship management of vendors, data collection, and analysis that enables the Category Manager to leverage information to drive profitable sales.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Provides support to Category Merchandising & Pricing teams that will support achievement of departmental strategies and initiatives.

    + Responsible for all aspects of analysis, for categories being evaluated, that will support achievement of Brand strategies.

    + Assists with shelf presentation, assortment decisions, cost negotiations, promotional planning, and product and program development.

    + Ensures promotional plans are developed using items that will leverage margin and meeting the standards for the defined category role and strategy for each banner.

    + Responsible for the accuracy and validation of vendor submitted deals.

    + Assist in the tracking and reporting of deals and budget data.

    + In supporting the Category Manager, complete all tasks required for a seamless Category Review.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    + At least 5 years of professional experience

    + Bachelor's Degree

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs

    + Ability to analyze data and provide insights from the data.

    + Create Cross-functional relationships.

    + Excellent communication skills.

    + Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.

    Ability to understand, develop, and implement pricing and promotion initiatives that support the Hannaford pricing strategy.

    Ability to develop and/or implement product development and assortment initiatives across all retail formats (On-Line & In-Store) to drive desired business results.

     

    Strategic Business Planning

     

    Ability to develop and implement comprehensive Category Leadership Solutions, including facilitating tactics and plans that deliver Hannaford's strategy.

     

    Supply Chain

     

    Ability to understand, apply and integrate knowledge of Hannaford supply chain capabilities, policies, and industry trends to optimize performance.

     

    System & Technology

     

    Knowledge and utilization of systems and tools to enable execution of strategies and objectives.

     

    The Salary Range for this Position is $63,440 - $95,160
