    The position has responsibility for leading data engineering efforts in support of the Team’s Data and Analytics Strategy. This position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Group Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and all dependent/subsidiary data functions. Additional responsibilities include working with the Group and Division Data and Analytics Team members in facilitating best practices for master data management, data modeling, data governance, and data integrations. This position reports to the Aerospace Group IT Manager, Data & Analytics, North America.

    Scope/Supervision and Interaction:

    + Designs, develops, implements, maintains, and continuously improves the Group’s Data Warehouse, Operational Data Store (ODS), and Data Marts which will be comprised of numerous data sources, including data from multiple ERPs, MES systems, HR systems and numerous other systems.

    + Integrates and blends data from existing systems. Connects data from additional disparate sources into a logical structure for consumption by analysts, end-users and reporting tools.

    + Defines data model strategies and develops logical and physical data models and data marts to drive forward the strategy, taking advantage of opportunities to improve business performance.

    + Develops strong understanding of company data & source systems and builds appropriate solutions that fulfill end users’ analytical needs.

    + Evaluate data accuracy, completeness, timeliness and stability to establish repeatable and sustainable processes. Automate data quality best practices where possible.

    + Develop documentation to illustrate data designs, data integrations, testing results, data automation strategies, and more.

    + Expand and support a growing analytics community throughout the organization, while supporting efforts to centralize and standardize data.

    + Proven advanced experience in large-scale data warehousing, ODS data ingestion, data modeling, data integration development, ETL, and Master Data Management

    + Expert knowledge of data integration methodology and tools (SSIS, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, or similar)

    + Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Self-starter able to independently complete tasks accurately and quickly

    + Excellent communication skills (verbal and documented)

    + Expert ability using relational database environments (SQL Server required), SQL, and T-SQL

    + Proficient in data modeling, both relational and dimensional (R or Python is a plus)

    + Prior business function experience is a plus (Finance, HR, Operations, Business Operations, Sales & Marketing, Quality)

    + 5+ years’ experience in data extraction, data quality, and database relational structures

    + Bachelor's Degree in: Computing Sciences, Information System, Business Intelligence, Data Science or related areas required

    + Master’s degree in computer science, analytics, mathematics or engineering preferred

    + Data Management and Analytics certification preferred
