    Duties Description •As a member of the Prevention Expansion Work Group, help chart the path forward towards a more responsive and expansive body of Abuse Prevention Work. This will include: o Participating in internal meetings and workgroups related to prevention expansion.o Assisting with charting out anticipated project deliverables. o Establishing measures to track the progress and success of the Prevention Expansion. o Creating surveys and other data collection instruments to be used to track progress and public feedback. o Tracking and reporting out on success measures and deliverables.o Drafting reports to be used by Justice Center Executive Leadership.o Assisting in the development of prevention workflow processes and trainings, and work products.•Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Quality Management Plans related to the expanded prevention program.•Work collaboratively with the Prevention Program to support the ongoing measuring and tracking of program success. •Create and maintain Visio process maps to document business unit processes and processes related to the prevention expansion. •Participate in meetings with JC business unit Directors and/or Supervisors to monitor progress toward their quality assurance activities, quality control activities, KPIs and other quality metrics.•Evaluate available data to identify patterns and trends. Report on findings to prevention team, business units, and Agency leadership verbally and/or in writing.•Assist with process reviews, including performing root cause analysis, to identify inefficiencies and systemic issues that require correction and work with units to identify what corrective actions should be taken. •Monitor the completion, implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions created in response to the audits and program reviews. Work with teams to adjust approaches as needed.•Utilize available technology for data collection, reporting, and analysis. (VPCR, Oracle BI, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Visio, and Power Point)•Draft presentation materials and present at relevant meetings/conferences.•Assist business units with special projects that will help them achieve their quality goals.•Perform duties both independently and in a team setting.

     

    Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: bachelor’s degree AND two years of experience* working in any of the following, or combination of the following: a New York State Office of Mental Health, Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Office of Children and Family Services, Department of Health, State Education Department or Office of Addiction Services and Supports licensed or supervised facility covered under the jurisdiction of the NYS Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs; investigating complaints and allegations of abuse and neglect of persons receiving care from a facility or provider covered under the jurisdiction of the NYS Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs; a medical facility; a child protective services organization; or as a professional advocate or service provider in the field of rehabilitation, developmental disabilities, or mental health.*A master’s degree in a human services or health-related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience as described above for all titles.Note: Experience obtained working in state agencies or programs outside of New York State that are similar or equivalent to the agencies listed above may be considered qualifying experience for all titles.Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have experience assessing compliance and creating written documents in any of the licensed and certified settings above, a master’s degree in human services, social work, psychology or other relevant clinical or health related field; excellent critical thinking and writing skills; quality assurance/improvement, interview, investigation and/or risk management experience; computer skills and knowledge; research experience; and experience with meeting facilitation and presenting to groups.
