About the Team
The Merchant is at the core of DoorDash. The Merchant Team powers many facets of our business and is one of the primary drivers of growth and revenue. On the Merchant Strategy & Ops team, our mission is to have best-in class restaurant selection, build cutting edge services for our merchants to grow their business, and help our partners operate seamlessly.
About the Role
We are looking for an operator with a strong bias to action who loves using data to solve problems. You’ll join the Menu team, where we’re focused on building the most complete menus for our merchants and our customers. In this role, you’ll develop go-to-market strategies, launching experiments and supporting growth initiatives that will allow us to acquire menu content and improve the ordering experience for our customers. You’ll work cross-functionally between our product management, engineering, partner management, and analytics teams to build foundation menu content.
We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, highly analytical, data-driven and has exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

+ Operate & Build – Drive the strategy & execution for new DoorDash Selection initiatives to help build and retain a differentiated merchant base
+ Analyze – Build models to evaluate the economics, value and opportunity costs of strategic initiatives intended to acquire and retain merchants across our platform
+ Experiment – Use data-driven decision-making to run tests or develop insights to inform strategic initiatives
+ Optimize – Build the best merchant acquisition engine so DoorDash continues to offer the highest quality selection for its customers
+ Influence & Work Crossfunctionally – Work cross-functionally across the Merchant Organization and broader DoorDash
+ Make Stuff Happen - You handle chaos and complexity, in a detailed and structured way and have a strong bias to action that brings your plans to life in execution. You aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to make process improvements and build scalable, repeatable solutions to day to day operating problems.
We’re excited about you because…
+ You are a proven operator - You have 2-4 years of experience in consulting / strategy / business development / program management / technology / banking or related experience; high-growth or early-stage startup experience is a plus
+ You have a bachelors degree or higher
+ You are analytical – You let data tell the story and you're comfortable modeling in Excel. SQL knowledge is a plus.
+ You are a collaborator - You have a proven track record of leading initiatives, working cross-functionally, and succeeding in a team first environment
+ You are a problem solver – You can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
+ You are a strong communicator – You tell the story to different audiences and through different mediums - strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Compensation
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

+ For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
+ For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$56,500 — $95,000 USD
