**Shift:** Shift 1
**Work Schedule:** 8 Hr (7:30 AM - 4:00PM)

**Pay Range:** $20.19 - $28.52 per hour

Summary:
Assist pathologist in the dissection and examination of organs and tissues to determine cause of death or pathological conditions. Set up and maintain autopsy suite. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
• High School Diploma.
• Interacts effectively with peers, internal and external customers.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• One year experience.
Physical Demands:
• Able to work in fast pace, often stressful, computerized environment.
• Able to lift, push, pull and move equipment and patients in excess of 50 lbs.
• Works in laboratory with exposure to potentially infectious and hazardous materials.
Responsibilities:
1. Performs eviscerations in accordance with OSHA standards, guidelines, regulations, and infection control policies.
2. Set up instruments for autopsy.
3. Clean and maintain autopsy instruments, autopsy suite, and autopsy conference room.
4. Cleans and maintains grossing stations in Pathology Lab.
5. Disposes of body tissues as directed by supervisor.
6. Keeps work areas (autopsy room, autopsy conference room) neat, organized and well-stocked at all times.
7. Labels and processes specimens with less than two errors annually.
8. Meets turnaround time expectations by prioritizing and organizing daily workloads 90% of the time.
9. Volunteers or willingly participates in special projects and procedures, completes them within an agreed upon time frame.
