Job Title: Field Service EngineerJob Description
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial building automation systems. The role involves collaborating with controls engineers, interpreting wiring and mechanical diagrams, and interacting with clients to ensure optimal system performance. The position requires comfort with working with 3-phase 480V power and spans multiple industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Breweries, Cannabis, Food Processing, and Medical. This is an entry-level position.
Responsibilities
+ Start-up and commissioning of control systems.
+ Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and control issues.
+ Read and follow wiring and mechanical diagrams.
+ Modify control programs as needed.
+ Install controllers, sensors, relays, and related components.
+ Collaborate with project teams and clients to meet project goals.
+ Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in equipment, which can involve complex control systems and high-voltage wiring.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ An Associate's degree in Electrical or any engineering discipline.
+ Completion of an HVAC program from LCC, Ferris, or Jackson College is a plus.
+ EPA certification.
Work Environment
The role includes a 6-month onboarding and training process. Ideal for someone eager to start their career immediately after schooling. The position offers opportunities for increased pay with prior field experience.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
