Job Title: Facility EngineerJob Description

Join our dynamic team as a Facility Engineer, where you will play a vital role in assessing the lifespan of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across various buildings. This position requires travel to Loudon County and Pennsylvania for Department of Transportation projects. You will perform detailed assessments, identify necessary replacements, and ensure the highest safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

+ Assess the condition of MEP systems across multiple buildings to determine their lifespan.

+ Travel to Pennsylvania for a week every month or two, with all travel, hotel, and food expenses covered.

+ Conduct fieldwork and ensure adherence to safety protocols, which includes walking many miles a day.

+ Draft comprehensive reports on assessment findings and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.

+ Interact professionally with clients during onsite visits.

Essential Skills

+ Supervision

+ MEP engineering and design

+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Construction Management, or Architectural Engineering

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD or AkitaBox

+ Understanding of MEP Systems, HVAC, Fire alarm panels, lighting, and plumbing

+ Previous condition assessment experience

+ 2+ years as a construction inspector or facility maintenance manager

+ Onsite facility assessment experience

+ Mechanical or electrical design/engineering background

Work Environment

This role is based in a corporate setting and offers a hybrid work option after one year. You will travel with a team to various project sites. The work environment is professional, with an emphasis on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alexandria, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
