    The Quality Control Engineer serves as a key quality partner with manufacturing engineering, focusing on the inspection of incoming materials, root cause analysis of production issues, and yield improvements. This role involves revising documentation to support quality engineering and ensuring the quality of purchased parts and subassemblies.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct inspections of purchased parts and subassemblies using standard inspection tools such as calipers and hard gages.

    + Accurately document the results of quality control inspections and testing.

    + Maintain all controlled document files and test records.

    + Assist in creating and updating inspection templates and tools.

    + Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations in collaboration with quality and manufacturing engineering teams.

    + Act as a Change Agent by implementing process improvements and SPC metrics in a technical manufacturing environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Quality control and quality assurance expertise.

    + Proficiency in root cause analysis.

    + Experience in electronics manufacturing and quality management systems.

    + Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methods.

    + Competence with inspection equipment and tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.

    + Minimum of 1+ years of technical experience in Manufacturing and Quality Control, internships or co-ops considered.

    + Strong analytical ability and computer skills.

    + Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    Work Environment

    This position is located in Stony Point, NY and is fully onsite. The role requires a business casual dress code and begins at 8am. You will be joining a growing lighting/electronics company with a small, collaborative engineering team, offering great benefits and opportunities for development.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Stony Point, New York.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

     

    Direct Hire - Growing lighting/electronics company. Small engineering team; lots of development and collaboration across teams. Great benefits and employee offerings including medical, dental, visiion benefits, and paid holidays and PTO (88 PTO Hours, 56 Sick Hours & Paid Holidays).
