Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Analysis Engineer with a strong background in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support the development of flight test instrumentation and aerospace subsystems. This role focuses on aesthetic and buckling analysis, sheet metal structures, and detailed hand calculations, with a preference for expertise in Hyperworks/Hypermesh.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform structural analysis using Hyperworks/Hypermesh.
• Perform hand calculations in support of applicable structural initial calculations
• Conduct aesthetic and buckling evaluations of aerospace components and assemblies.
• Execute hand calculations to validate and supplement FEA results.
• Analyze and support sheet metal designs for flight test instrumentation and related subsystems.
• Document analysis results and prepare technical reports using proprietary software.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize structural integrity and manufacturability.
• Support prototype builds and testing efforts in lab and flight environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.
• Strong FEA experience with hands-on experience in Hyperworks/Hypermesh.
• Ability to perform hand calculations in support of applicable structural initial calculations
• Proficiency in aesthetic and buckling analysis techniques.
• Experience with sheet metal structures and aerospace materials.
• Ability to perform and document hand calculations for structural validation.
• Familiarity with flight test instrumentation and aerospace testing environments.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of FEMAP and other FEA tools.
• Prior experience in defense or space system development.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $87.00/hr.
