Job Title: DrafterJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D layout and assembly drawings, as well as 3D models of components and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor and Vault. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain corporate drawing standards while contributing to team activities.
Responsibilities
+ Create 2D layout and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Inventor Vault.
+ Develop 3D models of components and assemblies.
+ Initiate and review Engineering Change Orders.
+ Ensure adherence to and review corporate drawing standards.
+ Measure parts for dimensional accuracy.
+ Participate actively in team activities.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software packages.
+ Experience with AutoDesk Vault software.
+ Familiarity with dimensional tolerancing and standard drafting practices.
+ Proficient in trigonometry and geometry.
+ Skilled in using measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate degree in drafting or 3-5 years of drafting experience preferred.
Work Environment
You will be part of a team of three other professionals focused on mechanical drafting for mechanical engineers. This position offers growth opportunities within various divisions, coupled with excellent benefits and compensation plans for full-time employees.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.00/hr.
