Job Title: Quality Control TechnicianJob Description
Join our team as a Quality Control Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality on our production line. Your primary responsibilities will include performing quality control checks, conducting basic product testing, and ensuring safety and compliance measures are met.
Responsibilities
+ Perform quality control checks on the production line.
+ Conduct basic tests on products, including salt, acid, viscosity, and moisture assessments.
+ Check Critical Control Points, including operating a metal detector and x-ray machine.
+ Conduct pre-operation inspections.
+ Perform microbiological and allergen swabbing.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in quality assurance or quality control.
+ Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
+ Familiarity with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
+ Some college education is a plus but not required.
+ PCQI/HACCP certifications are a plus but not required.
+ Strong soft skills such as independence, time management, and proactivity.
Work Environment
The position operates on the first shift from 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with potential for overtime based on production needs. You will work a rotating schedule on Fridays, overseeing 1-2 production lines at a time. This role offers a supportive family-like atmosphere, strong job security, and exposure to diverse products. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bolingbrook, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
