Job Title: Interior Designer
Job Description
As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for implementing design guidelines that enhance and support brand identity. You will select furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, and other design elements. Collaborating with external teams, you will ensure that design solutions meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. Working closely with real estate and project management teams, you will develop conceptual design packages for presentation to leadership and stakeholders. Your role will involve ensuring designs are aligned with budgetary constraints and strategic objectives while developing long-term design strategies for both customer-facing and employee-focused environments. You will support initiatives that enhance workplace culture, productivity, and brand representation, creating and setting a foundation, guidelines, and standards for future products. Additionally, you will represent the Corporate Real Estate team in client meetings both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
+ Implement design guidelines that support brand identity.
+ Select furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, and other design elements.
+ Partner with external teams to ensure design solutions meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
+ Collaborate with real estate and project management teams to develop conceptual design packages.
+ Ensure designs align with budgetary constraints and strategic objectives.
+ Develop long-term design strategies for various environments.
+ Support initiatives that enhance workplace culture, productivity, and brand representation.
+ Create and set a foundation, guidelines, and standards for future products.
+ Represent the Corporate Real Estate team in client meetings internally and externally.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit, Excel, Bluebeam, and InDesign.
+ Experience in interior design, furniture, and fixture design.
+ Must have experience selecting and implementing furniture, fixtures, equipment, and finishes.
+ Strong design and architecture skills, particularly in hospitality.
+ NCIDQ certification.
+ Knowledge of applicable design codes, including ADA.
+ Presentation skills, collaborative approach, problem-solving, and strong communication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree.
+ 8+ years of relevant experience.
Work Environment
This is a long-term contract position within a growing Corporate Real Estate team, located at the corporate headquarters in the Willis Tower. The team has transitioned from being outsourced and is now expanding. You will work on-site three days a week from the beginning of the contract. The position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to join a rapidly growing team with a start-up mindset. There is potential for travel if desired.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
