Description

Our client has an immediate need for an experienced Part-Time Senior Accountant with a strong background in real estate accounting. This position offers flexible hours and days—as long as 20–25 hours are met each week—and a hybrid schedule with both in-office and remote flexibility.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in account reconciliations, journal entries, year-end close, and variance analysis, along with advanced proficiency in Blackline and Microsoft Excel. This role is well-suited for a self-starter who can work independently and review the work of others for accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review financial work performed by others to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal policies and procedures

• Utilize Blackline software for creating and reviewing journal entries

• Execute and review detailed account reconciliations for accurate financial reporting

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including documentation preparation and review

• Evaluate, maintain, and refine accounting checklists for recurring processes

• Perform variance analysis and provide insight into discrepancies or trends

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within real estate or property management

• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control principles

• Proficiency with Blackline (preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas)

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills
