    Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

    Job Description

    The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for manufacturing products efficiently, accurately, safely, and on time. This role involves operating manufacturing equipment and in-process instrumentation to produce regulated products in compliance with QSRs, company policy, applicable regulatory requirements, and safety regulations. The technician works on routine assignments where recognizing deviations from accepted practices is essential. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to instructions and pre-established guidelines.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform all work in compliance with company policy and guidelines.

    + Manufacture, assemble, and ship regulated products and sub-assemblies, including medical devices of a radioactive nature.

    + Operate production equipment within the clean room environment.

    + Maintain records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.

    + Rely on instructions and pre-established written guidelines to perform job functions.

    + Maintain organization and cleanliness of all designated manufacturing areas.

    + Assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.

    + Identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, materials, and parts.

    + Assist with maintenance activities.

    + Provide mentorship and coaching to Manufacturing Technician I employees.

    + Adhere to the company’s purpose operating principles, fostering a positive and productive team culture.

    + Comply with company policies and procedures.

    + Follow all safety rules and safety precautions.

    + Access employee and/or patient PHI and ePHI only as needed for job-related functions.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in medical device manufacturing, tooling, SOP, and quality inspection.

    + Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.

    + Experience in production, assembly, laboratory, and packaging.

    + High School degree or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.

    + Minimum 2 years of manufacturing/operations experience, including at least 1 year in medical device manufacturing.

    + Experience handling radioactive materials in a radiation-controlled environment preferred.

    + Ability to operate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities.

    + Ability to read and interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

    + Proficiency in basic mathematical functions using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

    + Ability to compute averages, rates, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

    + Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

    + Ability to travel for work as needed.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.

    + Experience handling radioactive materials in a radiation-controlled environment preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes office space, supply room, laboratory, and clean room settings. Employees frequently encounter hazardous materials and must use appropriate personal protective equipment and precautions when handling such materials and chemicals. The role requires frequent finite hand/eye coordination and involves a largely stationary position with some mobility required. Employees regularly use computers, keyboards, mice, monitors, and other office equipment, as well as laboratory and manufacturing equipment. The role may involve lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 50 lbs. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary depending on workload, along with occasional overnight travel for work and events.

    This is a Contract position based out of Richland, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
