    Job Title: Industrial Pipefitter

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Industrial Pipefitter with a minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial and process piping systems, particularly in hospital, industrial, and heavy institutional installations. The candidate must be familiar with industry-standard and code-compliant construction practices and be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints. Experience in bevel joint cutting with an oxy-acetylene torch is essential. The role requires expertise in equipment setup, startup, and rigging, along with past experience in stainless steel, carbon steel, heating and cooling lines, chiller and boiler setting, hookups and piping, and mechanical room or central utility plant operations.

    Responsibilities

    + Install and maintain industrial and process piping systems.

    + Read and interpret blueprints for accurate installations.

    + Perform bevel joint cutting using an oxy-acetylene torch.

    + Set up, start, and rig equipment effectively.

    + Handle stainless steel, carbon steel, heating and cooling lines, chiller and boiler settings, hookups, and piping.

    + Operate within mechanical rooms or central utility plants.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Industrial Pipefitter.

    + Proficiency in bevel joint cutting with an oxy-acetylene torch.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Experience in equipment setup, startup, and rigging.

    + Familiarity with industry-standard and code-compliant construction practices.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + OSHA 10-hour certification required prior to start date.

    Work Environment

     

    You will be working on a lab in Charlottesville, operating on a 4x10 schedule from 6:30 am to 5 pm, Monday through Thursday. Please note that commuting to Charlottesville is required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlottesville, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
